Michael Wood & Co has always taken safety seriously—for the sake of our clients, our employees and our trusted network of trade professionals. Today, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented a new challenge for the world and especially New York City.
In response, we partner with contractors and building management to customise COVID-19 specific health and safety protocols for all job sites. In addition to social distancing and hygiene measures, our best practices include site logistic plans, cleaning protocols, health screening questionnaires, and regular temperature checks for all job site visitors.
We require all contractors to follow the New York State guidelines for contractors and to have established COVID-19 safety plans that conform with New York Department of Health recommendations.
To further safeguard our clients, deep-clean crews are scheduled 48 hours in advance of client occupancy, and we insure that all contractor, vendor and subcontractor have up-to-date liability coverages. In turn, our independent risk manager will gladly consult with our clients about their preferred coverage and contractual terms during this time of uncertainty.
