Ricardo Bofill’s La Muralla Roja
Designed by postmodern Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, La Muralla Roja (lit. The Red Wall) is an apartment complex that embodies the traditional, mazy Kasbah (fortress) style of North Africa. The intensity of the red and blue colours is carefully calibrated to help create a greater illusion of space, seamlessly marrying the rocky landscape and the Mediterranean sky. This complex is comprised of 50 apartments and a rooftop swimming pool and sauna. Site: La Muralla Roja, Calp
